I’ve got a super easy crockpot applesauce recipe for y’all, which is a snack I created for the sugar-free challenge. I’ve wanted to make crockpot applesauce for a while now, just never got around to it. You can google lots of recipes, and they are all basically the same, but some of them use 1/2 cup or more of sugar. Whoa.
This strikes me as crazy because it definitely does not need it. I quite frankly think it would be overkill. So, use this much healthier crockpot applesauce recipe instead!
Once again, the crockpot nails it. Such little effort for a delicious treat. That’s not even really a ‘treat,’ since it’s pretty healthy. You can also easily double or triple this crockpot applesauce recipe!

Ingredients
- 4 Gala apples
- ¼ cup water
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon natural honey
Instructions
- Peel apples, and dice into ½ inch pieces.
- Add apples to crockpot along with the rest of the ingredients.
- Cook for about 3 hours on high.
- Mash apples with a fork. I left some pieces larger to give it a chunky texture.
- Eat it warm! It tastes awesome.
