Description

Learn how to make black bean turkey burgers! A huge burger topped with cheese, avocado, spinach, and onion….YUM. Total recipe: $6.36 | $0.91 per burger


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 pounds ground turkey (we use Butterball 93/7) – $4.55
  • 1 can of black beans, rinsed – $1.00
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs – $0.50
  • 1.5 tablespoons onion powder – $0.12
  • ½ teaspoon garlic salt – $0.01
  • 1 egg – $0.17
  • pepper
  • EVOO (only for pan)

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl.
  2. Form into 7 large patties.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, add a bit of EVOO. Add burgers and cook for 7 minutes on one side—press burgers down to flatten.
  4. Flip, and cook additional 7-9 minutes until cooked through.
  5. OR – you can grill them!
