Wine of the Week: Jules Taylor Sauvignon Blanc

Remember when I went to dinner at The Grape last weekend? I mentioned they had a good wine selection, but didn’t talk about what I drank. Hah! I did that on purpose. In fact, I’m glad I did because I did not drink any wine this week. Shame. Behold Jules Taylor Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.
Okay, so somehow I lost the picture of the actual wine in the glass I had, but I did find the picture I took of the menu, if that counts.

The Jules Taylor vineyard is located in Wairau and Awatere Valleys, Marlborough. If I have my geography correct, it is located in the southern island of New Zealand. Lindsay might be able to help me out with that one! This Sauvignon Blanc won the Champion Sauvignon Blanc trophy at the Air New Zealand Wine Awards. They didn’t advertise that at The Grape, but I’m not surprised.

The Jules Taylor Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is a light-bodied with a sweet, fruity taste. It was more sweet than citrusy, which was a bit different to me at first. For me, it was great paired with my chicken entree

It’s a short and sweet post for y’all today… I’m presenting at a conference today, and then scooting off to the airport to visit my sisters in Minneapolis for the weekend! It’s been a loooong time since I’ve seen Brittany. A year and a half! My mom is also coming to visit Saturday night. I’m beyond excited. 🙂

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend! I know that I will!
