Holy cow guys…my arms are SORE.
Yesterday we tackled a bunch of yard work. 6 years of overgrown vines and decomposed leaves from the previous home owners to be exact. Have you ever tried to rip vine out of the ground for 3 hours straight?
Talk about a biceps workout. And fore arms. And back…especially after digging out paver blocks and hauling them across the yard on top of it. Whew! Such a great sweat session over a really productive 4 hours outside soakin’ up the vitamin D!
My reward for today will be brunching in Uptown and then hanging out at the local Packer bar with my sisters for the game. Well, brunching is really a late birthday celebration with another friend, but I’ll cheers a mimosa to the massive pile of yard bags hanging out at the end of our driveway. 😉
I also need to find my way to the grocery store. Although we still have enough meat for the rest of the week from our last Costco trip, we need produce pretty badly. And I wanna make some applesauce to remake (and photograph) a new muffin recipe I tested out last weekend.
And all the avocados are gone so that classifies as a state of emergency!
Speaking of avocados, do any of you use an avocado slicer? I’ve lost my ability to get pretty looking pieces of avocado out from the skin (truly an important thing for a food blogger!). I fail miserably every time and have just been cubing them instead.
Are they easy to use? Do you recommend? I might buy this one. Mostly because it’s green.
Here’s this week’s meal plan!
Monday – Creole black bean taquitos
Tuesday – Taco pasta
Wednesday –Sandwiches – church night
Thursday – POPSUGAR Smirnoff Ice Game Time Event
Friday – CAMPING! Meals TBD
Saturday – still camping…
I kinda forgot how busy this week is…again. At least I got a couple weekends of re-lax-ation!
So for real, is an avocado slicer tool worth it?
