Well, meal plans aren’t exactly in the picture this week.
Our family rolled into town yesterday morning, and we’ve got a full agenda planned! Polar Express train ride, Mavs game, shopping, Top Golf, then an open house for the holiday!
We did a little bit of food prep to have some easy meal options around while the family was here.
Some of the things we made include
- Pineapple Cajun Pork Tenderloin for tacos
- Crockpot Applesauce
- Sweet Potato Breakfast Casserole – but I used red potatoes instead
- Creamy Garlic Hummus
We’ll be making some other appetizers for our open house, which will be
- Creole Black Bean Dip
- A cheeseball inspired by this one from Ricotta & Radishes – I didn’t know making a cheeseball was so easy!
We don’t really too many appetizer or meal recipes that we make that are specific to Christmas, or family tradition type things. My grandpa always made potato soup – and I don’t have that recipe yet. There are a few cookies recipes, though!
We plan to lay around pretty much the entire weekend after Christmas, and we’ll probably be eating lots of leftovers!
That’s about it! I’ll be tuning out a little this week to enjoy my time spent with family while they are in town.
Hope you all have a great week!
