Barkley doesn’t seem like he wants to have a conversation. So it’s time for a brain dump.
I think food commercials should be illegal. Like, banned until the end of time.
I’m sitting on the couch watching Grey’s Anatomy, doing a little food editing on the side, and BAM…this delicious looking Oreo’s commercial pops on the TV screen. It’s just begging me to find someone who would deliver store-bought cookies to my front doorstep. And I wasn’t even hungry. That’s America for you. Why can’t we just have commercials about broccoli? We’d probably have a lot fewer problems if that were the case.
Another thing that needs banned from this universe is Raising Cane’s chicken. If you don’t know what that is, you probably don’t live in Texas. I’ve never actually ordered chicken from there, but I drive by the fast-food restaurant every day on my way home from work and it smells sooooo.freakin.good. But it’s so freaking terrible for you.
It’s a darn good thing I could come home to a deliciously prepped meal of crockpot chicken isntead! And my favorite TV shows to distract me from eating…until the Oreo commercials air…
Grey’s Anatomy. Do you still watch it? I think this season has almost gotta be the last one. How many times can these people have near death experiences until it’s no longer remotely believable? Not like I care much about my favorite TV shows being believable, because after I finished Grey’s Anatomy I watch The Vampire Diaries. This week, I found out that Nina Dobrev is leaving the show. It hurts my heart. And I’m not ashamed. I don’t know how the season is going to end, but it’s probably going to be weird without it’s main character – maybe I won’t even watch it anymore.
Fewer TV shows to watch won’t hurt me though, that’s for sure. My to do list is endless these days. And on my list for this weekend is creation of larger food photography surfaces. Now that I’m taking photos with a DSLR, I need more room to work with. The size I chose were great for my phone when all my pictures were overhead shots, but I want larger surfaces to get more depth in my pictures.
I also needed some time off last weekend, so I only photographed one real recipe. That’s why you’re getting this ‘brain dump’ and super simple recipe today!
Eggs with black bean and mushroom saute probably deserve a post of their own anyways, since I’ve made them every single day for the last three weeks. I’m just happy to still have time to cook myself breakfast in the morning. Thank you, 5 AM wake-up call!
