Pistachio and Chocolate Covered Pretzels are a super easy, sweet and salty dessert for your next holiday get together or cookie exchange!
Remember that time a couple weeks ago, when I told you all about how I was trying to be less of a stressed out nut-job by doing easier things?
Yep. Still doin’ that.
Life right now is all about finding the stress-free route. And today I’m hoping I can help you do that, too! For any holiday dessert commitments you’ve made, that is. If you’re busy at work, running around all day with your kid, undergoing a kitchen remodel, desperately trying to find quality time to spend with your spouse among all the December decorating/shopping/socializing/madness that exists—or all of the above (raises hand)—then this no-bake, 10 minute recipe is.for.YOU.
All you gotta do is:
Head to Sprouts.
Hit up the bulk bin for some pistachios.
Sneak through the aisles for pretzels and dark chocolate chips.
And you’re done…with grocery shopping. Then only your drive back home and 10 minutes away from delicious.
I partnered with Sprouts for this post to develop a recipe using their bulk bin ingredients. If you haven’t been to the bulk bins at Sprouts then YOU MUST GO. I used to think bulk bins were for weirdos, because I can buy bulk stuff at Costco. But Sprouts bulk bins are affordable, and they have a wide variety of goods to choose from—better stuff than you can find in bulk at a different store. I was surprised I could buy pistachios so much cheaper in bulk than in a bag! This weekend from 12/9 through 12/11, Sprouts is holding an Incredible Bulk Sale where all of their ‘scoopable’ bulk items are 25 percent off.
So. if you need an easy, no-bake treat for the holidays, you should probably go to Sprouts this weekend to pick up those three simple ingredients. 🙂
I had all kinds of ideas to test out for this post, but with the kitchen remodel in the works, a no-bake option was quite clearly a winner. And, pistachios are a festive color, so it’s really a win-win. Plus there’s chocolate. You really can’t say no to that.
Another fun part about this post with Sprouts? I got to try some treats from other bloggers. YAY! You really must try these Triple chocolate hazelnut orange cookies from Bessie Bakes. They were SO incredibly rich and delicious. Plus, hazelnut is one of my favs, too!
But before you go…print off this recipe!
- 4 cups Sprouts mini pretzels
- 1 bag dark chocolate chips
- ½ cup pistachios
- Using a blender, coffee grinder or magic bullet, blend up the pistachios until a dust-like consistency is achieved. Set aside.
- Cover a large baking sheet in parchment paper or tin foil.
- Add pretzels to a large bowl.
- Add chocolate to a separate, microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30 minute increments until all chocolate is melted. Should take 90-120 seconds.
- Pour chocolate over pretzels, and stir to cover pretzels completely.
- Spread pretzels out on baking sheet.
- Sprinkle pistachio dust on top.
- Freeze for 30 minutes.
